The PS3 uses Blu-ray offers free internet. When updates are necessary for games, often you will be asked to insert the game on the console. - Download and install Microsoft.Net Framework 1.1 on the PC (see Resources). Follow all instructions to complete the installation. Restart the computer if prompted. Download and install the PS3 Proxy Server GUI (see Resources) on the PC. Restart the computer if needed.
- Start the PS3 Proxy Server GUI on the computer from the site where you saved it. Enter the IP address of the PC when you are prompted. Press the "Start" button.
- Navigate to "Connection Settings" on PS3. Locate the proxy server on the PS3 and place to "On". Enter the IP address of the PC. Select "Save" to apply settings.
- Insert the Blu-ray game you require to download updates on the PS3. You will be required to download patches; downloading continues. Cancels the download after five seconds. Eject the CD Blu-ray PS3.
- Navigate to the proxy server PC PS3. Click on the tab "Records". Download patch you just cancel the PS3 is displayed. Right click on the link and select the "Copy" option. Paste it into your download manager you use and expects to complete the download. Takes note of the directory where you saved the file.
